Hello!
Thank you for checking out my website and … hopefully … the story that’s posted on here. This is easily one of the longest projects in terms of word count that I’ve worked on and I’m still writing. This idea came to me in early 2022 and had originally started out as a short story about a retired knight who lived by the sea with her dog. It has … ballooned into way more than that.
While I’ve written a ton of fanfic in the past, this is my first experience with writing a web novel and given that a lot of it’s been written already means that it probably won’t read as episodic as some serial fiction. I’ll still try to make sure my chapters feel complete.
I don’t have a Tumblr or anything for this story yet. Debating on it in case this site crashes or something – and also to just post updates and answer questions, etc.
As for publishing schedule:
First chapter will be out by January 2, 2024 with the prologue out on December 26, 2023 by noon Eastern Time. I was bandying about how often to post and my plan is to initially post weekly on Tuesdays at noon ET (the concept of naming it “Torvola Tuesday” was too good to pass up). I’ll post weekly until February where the schedule will become biweekly. Writing is not my day job and my job is a bit hectic when it comes to schedules. I’m going to need a bit of a buffer to account for this.
This is a huge leap of faith for me so once again: I thank you for joining me on my journey.
